Transform a common coastal icon into a dramatic masterpiece. this workshop isn't just about painting a bird - it's about the dramatic interaction of light and shadow. Whether using acrylics or oils, participants will learn to see beyond "white feathers" and discover the rich spectrum of greys, blues, and warm ambers that bring a subject to life.
Learn how to simulate glowing sunlight emphasizing strong shadow and light value differences, and reflected light capturing the warmth of light that bounces off the surroundings. Participants will also enjoy a step-by-step demo watching a live breakdown of a seagull study from initial value sketch to final highlights, and receive one-on-one guidance on their own work.
